Clare Martin

I was born in Grasmere to a family of artists which instilled an awareness of the visual impact
of colour, shape and changes in our surroundings.

Following a completely different career, I later became interested in Photography, especially the
details within Nature.

I jointly coordinated the Silverdale Art Trail for some years, the ethos of which was to bring the creative
arts into the community.

More recently I have been learning and experimenting with varied mediums as a member of Silverdale Art Group.

I consider it important to be open to working ( and playing!) with a range of mediums, subjects,
genre and experimenting with creative materials.
